The walk
Not every Hogsback walk goes anywhere — this one spirals. The labyrinth at The Edge
is an eleven-circuit design modelled on the famous medieval labyrinth of Chartres
Cathedral in France, and it’s one of the largest in the world: 29 m in diameter,
91 m around, completed in 2002.
Walking it is deceptively substantial — the pathway winds 700 m to the centre, and
700 m back out again, 1.4 km in total. Most people take about 45 minutes at a
contemplative pace, with the mountains and the Tyume Valley for company.
What you’ll see
