The Monkey Hide
The Monkey Hide is the quiet wing of Ashfield-on-Hogsback: an open-plan cottage for three with a log fireplace at its centre, a kitchenette, and a semi-rural garden where Samango monkeys move through the trees and loeries call from the canopy. Starways Arts Centre is a 15-minute walk away.
The cottage
One bedroom, one bed, one en-suite bathroom — an entire wing booked for up to three guests, set up for couples who want the fire and the quiet. Free parking on site, Wi-Fi included, and a proper log fireplace rather than a heater pretending to be one.
Location
Ashfield-on-Hogsback, on the Starways side of the mountain — semi-rural, with restaurants and a mini supermarket nearby. Walk to pottery workshops, drive five minutes to the village centre.
