3 Peaks Hogsback
3 Peaks sits on its own hilltop on the upper slopes — the kind of place where the view does the hosting. Unspoiled mountain panoramas, quiet, and far enough from the village centre that the night sounds are the whole programme, but close enough that shops and restaurants are a short drive.
The cottage
The bookable unit, Cape Parrot, sleeps four in two bedrooms, each with a queen-size bed — the first en-suite, the second served by the shared bathroom. It’s proper self-catering: full kitchen (gas stove, oven, microwave), a lounge with fireplace, Wi-Fi, and a balcony with an under-roof braai area and built-in braai for the evenings. Linen and towels provided, secure parking on site, and load-shedding provisions are part of the setup — a practical mountain house, not just a pretty one.
Swallowtail Falls and the hiking trails start practically on the doorstep — see Hogsback’s trails for the wider network.
Location
Upper Hogsback, on Hydrangea Lane (GPS −32.5988, 26.9425). You’ll want your own transport.
